Dear Sir / Madam,

My PR Card is getting expired on June 6,2015. That means I will have to be in Canada on or before 6th June 2013 for an uninterrupted stay of 730 days. Is it correct !
2) After expiry of PR Cards generally how long it take for renewal of PR Cards!
3) My passport is getting expired in June 2014 , in that case what I need to do since I can not come back to India to get it renewed ! Kindly advise

1.Yes if you have not been in Canada all these days then you have to be in Canada before 6th June 2013.If you have been in Canada then you need 730 days over a period of last 5 years...

2.As of today its taking 86 Calender days and NO one tell how much time does they take in Mid 2015.Please check the link below to see time for PR renewal:

3.You can apply for Passport in the country you are living with Indian Embassy. You dont need to be in India or get back to India to apply for the Passport...

You should not just meet the residency obligation for the 5 years to your PR card expiry but also for the first 5 years since you landed. The PR card is often issued a couple of months after you landed. Any days you stayed in Canada after landing will be counted towards the 730 days.

I am slightly confused. This counting of 730 days would start from my first entry in Canada or from the date of PR Card issued. My PR Card is expiring in June 2015 where in first landed in April 2010 for stamping purpose.

Then the counting started in April 2010 and you must have 730 days in Canada from April 2010 - April 2015, your 5 year PR anniversary.

The requirement for 730 days in any 5 year period then continues over a rolling 5 year period. That is, the days you stayed in April 2010 will move outside the 5 year window and will need to be replaced by new days stayed in Canada to ensure that at any time, you will have at least 730 days in Canada in the past 5 years.
