Hi there;
Here's where I stand: I came back to Canada by car in mid 2014 with an expired PR card and less than 730 days in the country in the 5 years leading up to the day I entered.
I've been here since (settled here for good), close to 800 days.
I asked CBSA for a record of entries/exits in the past 5 years and, as expected, the only record is the one entry just over 2 years ago (my worry was there could be some sort of note there from the borders agent saying I didn't satisfy the PR requirement or something, but all good, no such note).
I am going to apply in the next few days to renew my PR card. I've been advised to add as much proof of the fact that I've been here since mid 2014 as I can. I've been quite diligent in keeping everything from bank statements & pay stubs to credit card receipts, driver's license renewals, rental ledgers, condo taxes, etc, etc. In short, I have a bunch of documents I could send, but not sure if it'd be overkill (and will create a file the size of a phone book).
Any tips? Should I send all those documents as attachments to the application?
Thanks!
