Is it possible to deal with renewing my PR status in Canada, whilst on a short upcoming visit to Canada, before my Multiple Visa Entry expires ? I have not fulfilled my Permanent Resident obligations due to humanitarian reasons.
Any multiple entry visit visa you had before becoming a PR would have been cancelled when you became a PR. You need a valid PR card or a PRTD to fly to Canada or alternatively come in via the US / Canada land border.
As for humanitarian reasons depends on what the reasons are whether immigration accept or start process to revoke your PR status.

Thanks for your reply. It may mean that they will revoke my PR Status, but is it easier to deal with the problem whilst actually being in Canada, or before I go.

You may only have the option of dealing with it from abroad. When did your PR card expire? When was the last time you entered Canada? Do you have a US visa? How long have you spent in Canada?
