Hi all - whilst I know that CIC states a period of 20-24 months for the full processing of application for parent/grandparent PR, I would still like to ask opinion from people following various threads in this forum, please.
We started our application for PR and it was logged Sept 27. 2018. We have complied at every stage with every request, paid all necessary required payments. What is of concern for me is that we went for our medicals in JULY 2019 when in Canada. On OCTOBER 23, 2019, CIC logged that we had passed the medicals. In November, 2019, we were asked by CIC to a) pay our Right to PR (paid it, sent proof) to b) submit two lots of police clearances (as we had lived in two countries prior to application ( submitted these to CIC) - and all this was supplied to CIC on December 13, 2019.
To date (and I have just checked again) there is nothing on my online CIC page beyond the info entered October 23, 2019 re the medical clearance. We are now over two months (and counting) since we submitted the last lot of requested info AND paid the right to permanent res fee requested - and yet there has been absolutely NO movement from CIC's side.
Is this to be expected? How much longer can we expect to have to wait for the last lot of requested info to be processed and logged?
I realise one is powerless and that whatever time CIC needs to take, they will take - bit would love to hear from others in the same position currently, or who have been in the same position -
