I am a Software Solutions Architect (but my current assignment requires me to be very hands on and also requires me to support production triages fairly regularly etc.) who came to Canada last year on Job Code 2173 on ICT (Closed WP thru employer) but applied for my PR with job code as 2174 (I know how plain stupid I have been, no point lamenting though !!! Talk about oversight). Now my ICT is due for extension and I noticed this mess - would it be an issue as it will be for that with existing code (2173)? My Job responsibilities do have some overlap between the two codes (which are captured in my JD for the offer letter I attached thru my employer for roles and responsibilities for PR) - so at least some thing in grey. Not sure if it will work with IRCC though. I am claiming 50 points for 1 yr Canadian exp. (so job responsibilities do mention a mix of 2173 and 2174 responsibilities) .
Would I be better off applying a bridge work permit to use with my PR application - and wait it out for a verdict (which as we all know is agonizingly long) ? OR Should I go with ICT extension anyhow thru employer (who will hardwire it to NOC code 2173) ? Any thoughts ?
