Hello everyone,

I'm a Canadian PR currently working as an Independent Contractor through my own registered company.

I’m planning to invite my parents for a short visit (around 3 months), and I do not intend to apply for a Super Visa—just a regular Visitor Visa.

I have a few questions I hope someone can help with:

1. I've heard that for a regular Visitor Visa, my financial documents may not be required. Is this true?

2. Since my parents are retired( mother is a homemaker) but receive a pension, how much funds should they ideally show for a 3-month stay in Canada?

3. Do I need to provide a formal invitation letter as part of their application?

4. Is it mandatory to include a return date or proof of departure in the application?

1. They aren’t what is most important is your parents savings .

2. There is no exact amount but I would aim for at least 20k especially if you are not including your financial information.

3. Not required but I would.

4. Only need to provide a sample of their travel plans which can be obtained by airline or travel website..
