Hello everyone -- I have been married to my spouse for 4+ years now and I am now looking to live with him in Canada. We are currently working through the application papers for an inland application as I am currently with him in Canada. I understand that I am allowed to stay in Canada for 6months under my current ETA.
In the application papers I am asked for proof of my status in Canada as noted below. Given I don't get a physical visa or even stamp when coming to Canada under ETA, what am I expected to submit to proof my status? Any and all recommendations are appreciated, thanks so much!
If you (the principal applicant) are living in Canada, provide proof of your status in Canada (e.g. copy of temporary resident visa, study permit or work permit, temporary resident permit, including out of status documentation). If you do not have status in Canada, please provide an explanation on a separate piece of paper, as well a copy of any paperwork you have that is relevant to your status.
