PR in process but Post Graduate work permit expiring soon

Hi there,

I have filed for PR under CEC and I am still waiting for my medicals. Currently, I am on post garduate work permit which is expiring in June 2013. If I dont get the PR before June 2013, can I continue my job in Toronto? Do I need to file for an extension of my permit? I have an open work permit, do I need to request my employer to get an LMO to file for an extension?

I hope to get some good information here backed by good source.

Your employer needs to obtain an approved LMO and you must then apply for a work permit.

Note that since you are on a post-graduate work permit, your employer is exempt from the requirement of having to advertise the job first.
