Hi,

I need to leave the country for a few weeks, before I received PR card which I expect within the next couple of weeks, so I have a question...
When CIC mails the PR card, does it come in a registered mail requiring a signature, or in a regular snail mail?
Put simply, can my husband grab the card and fly with it to our country of origin, so that I won't have to apply for a return visa?

Thank you very much everybody, Yubo

it came as regular mail ( not registered mail and signature required )
don't think it is problem your husband receive and bring your PR card to your home country.

I would bring COPR as proof of you are landed immigrant.

I would recommend taking the necessary documentation with you to apply for the returning travel document. We were also waiting for my son's PR card to arrive and travelled back home mid November. We were waiting 86+ days (and 5 phone calls to the CIC, during which we were told our cards were being produced and there were no issues) to get a letter the day before I returned to Canada stating that we needed new photos!
