Landed on 18th July and still didnt got my PR card...Called them two weeks back they told me they did send a message to cic..
They have time to reply in 3 months...Stupid system...

I have a travelling Job and now i cant work becoz of these stupid people

so sorry to hear that you had to cancel your business trip. I called yesterday and got the same answer "Still in further review." I know it sucks but I will just seat back and wait..cuz that's the only thing I can do now.

Kevin, Do you know if I can apply fr urgent processing ? or atleast a way to get travel document in a week ?
I have another trip on 21st and My spouse is also leaving on 18th...I was reading someone is waiting fr his PR card from 19th May...

Urgent processing is not for those who will be issued PR card for first time. I don't know if you can get a travel document in a week.

Call the canada embassy in a country you plan to travel. I think this is the only option you have to find out the period of issuing travel doc, or maybe just call to cic service centre and ask?

To my surprise, there was actually someone in another thread who applied for urgent processing for first card. Apparently it is possible.

There was a link to some page on cic.gc.ca which did not distinguish between initial or renewal card.

Yes, Just end up talking with agent ..she said 3 months wait..as my file is not moved yet

I landed on 28-Sep ,now there will be problem for me if this kinda of delay happens ....so here is my scenario...

Actually my Family name :XXXX YYYYY Given name:blank ,thats how it was in COPR...Now VO at the time of landing suggested that
I can fix it for you ,to make Family Name :YYYYY and Given Name : XXXXX ,and I told him to go ahead.

Now he modified COPR manually ,put * in modified fields.

Now problem happened when i went to apply for SIN ,they told me they cant issue me SIN card as landing document has been modified manually so
until you get PR card we cant issue you SIN card ,so till that time you use your old SIN card.

Now my old SIN card is valid till Feb'2015 ,so whats after that...???????

please keep checking for letter cz these days they are asking for pictures agaian for PR card .

but it takes around three months to reach.

Sorry to hear you are facing problem jus bcz of this .

This is really slow system anyone can have travel plans

park car at airport and fly

Mine case is more complicated.. I landed with my wife on 22nd June and got my PR card in Second week of Sep but my wife's card is still pending for "Further Review". Now, she has to go to India and because of this stupid delay of 4 months, she can't fly. Problem is from CIC and a poor husband i.e. me suffering.
