The only problem you may have is that the provincial health care system might delay coverage if you are gone for that long shortly after landing.

Please clarify what is visa exempt or non visa exempt passport. ?.

visa-exempt means that nationals who have that passport do not normally have to apply for a visitor visa.

If you need a visa to visit canada as a tourist you are not visa-exempt.

I notice that they are now working on PR applications relieved received unto 22nd March. When should we expect to receive our first PR Cards since we did our landing on 20th March, 2014 ?.

The waiting time when I last checked was 92 days.

Dear Zardos ,

We have not yet received PR Cards (almost 90 days have passed since our landing). Tried to get status on ecas but it doesn't show the status of our PR Cards.

Any suggestion please ?

You really only have two options.

1) Wait patiently for it to be delivered, or
2) Contact the CIC call centre and enquire.

is the PR card required for looking for job? what is issued upon landing. can you look for a job right after that or do we have to wait for relevant documents? are we issued SIN at the airport?

In some airports there is a Service Canada office that you can obtain a SIN from. Otherwise, it's a visit to the nearest one after you leave the airport. You can try to find a job before you get the SIN but you need one to start employment.
In theory, a PR card is not required for jobs but some employers ignore this.

Hi All,

I am Quebec skilled worker, who recently landed. I have not given any mailing address for the pr card, as I don't know my whereabouts in a month and pr card takes more than 3 months now. The thing is I stated to reside in quebec and montreal, but I have job offer that requires me to move to a different province. What are my options here. According to the officer I can give the new address in montreal when i move in to my new location, but since it will be outside quebec will that cause any problem. Please help me decide quickly.

Thanks all.
