PR card renewal

hey guys.
my husband got his PR card a year ago and landed in jan of 2011. hes only been in canada a total of about 5 or 6 month, but since im (his sponsor) with him in cairo is that still okay?? when and how exactly does he have to renew his visa?? and how do i prove im with him?

You should really read the CIC website about resident obligation.

It mentioned if you are accompanying your Canadian spouse outside Canada, you would meet your residency obligation
