I have been living in US for over 5 years with my Hubby (Canadian Citizen). My PR card is about to expire. I'm planning to mail my app for renewal to a relative who will mail it from Canada.

I have couple of questions\concerns, I would truly appreciate if someone can please clarify these for me.

- If I have been outside Canada but with my Canadian Citizen Husband since I had received my last renewal, would that cause any issues or trigger RFE extra?
- If I mail my app while I'm outside Canada (App is mailed from inside Canada), if an Interview etc is scheduled while I'm away and PR expired, would that cause any issues?
- Could it cause any issues for my Husband since he has been living outside Canada for about 10 years?

For all the quick responses, I would be extremely obliged.

1. Not necessarily but CIC have the right to ask for more information to process the case. Most applicants that get RFEs usually fail to follow the instructions which with respect to the sometimes justified claims of CIC being obtuse are quite clear for the PR Card renewal. Send in evidence of relationship and accompanying is the key e.g. leases etc.

2. If you get called for interview then you attend as required. Out of Country applicants are expected to pick the card up in person for program integrity reasons. If you don't show up for either interview or pick up within a given time frame then application closed and card destroyed

3. No
