i need some help
I immigrated to Canada in Oct 2006 as i was married to a canadian citizen
I have 1 son and my wife and son are both Canadian Citizens
I have been only in Canada for 240 days during last 5 years
I have been away for business and have traveled for my canadian business
I applied for a renewal of Permanent residence and the CIC required documents relating to business
which i forwarded to them and later on they sent a letter to me stating that your case is forwarded to local office in toronto
I have called the CIC twice and they says that it will take several months to take the decision on your file by the local office
what should I do in this concern
I am unable to travel abroad for my business
and my previous traveling was not to my home country as well
it was to different countries all the time as in the past 5 years I spent only 3 months in my home country from where i immigrated to Canada
should I withdraw my application and should complete 2 years stay and then reapply?????
should i travel abroad and take the travel document to return to canada from the canadian embassy abroad??????
what about this time which I am spending now for waiting a Permanent resident card to be renewed?????
this time will be counted for my Citizenship time count in the next 5 years then????
