PR Card Renewal & New - 2022 Processing Timeline

Hello friends - I have a question about pr card renewal. When filling the form can I put in start date of the residency calculation 5 years from the date of my application? Or does it have to be the date of my landing? I may not meet residency obligations if I put the the start date as the date of my landing....so I was hoping to wait until Feb1, 2023 ( the date my pr card expires) to apply and put the start date of calculation as Feb 1, 2018. Is this allowed? Any insight or guidance would be appreciated please. Thank you!

Hi guys, updating my husband first PR card after landing-

24th sept- landed in canada
4th Nov- linked pr card application to gc key

8th nov- spoke to ircc agent and they told us that there is no canadian address on file to mail the PR card to. Updated the address over the phone.

18th Nov: status changed to approved on gc key and message updated to they have mailed the PR card to the address

25th Nov: recieved PR card in the mail.

Hi All,

I applied for PR replacement using the online portal on 9th Nov. The application status shows submitted. However, I have not received any email from IRCC. Can someone please explain the process? How long will it take to get an email from IRCC after you submit your online PR application?

According to the IRCC Portal: The current Processing Time is 89 days for PR Card Renewal/Replacement.

How long does it take once it is mailed? For us, cards have been mailed a week ago but nothing in the mailbox yet. Is PR package a regular sized letter (like the one we get for bank statements)? Or a Canada post fancy letter?

Was the update for pr card mailed written on the status page? Mine just says decision made from last friday.

we applied as regular. But one person got it fast and another person no updates at all

New PR CARD Status. Landed Sept 20, 2022, in Calgary, AB. Called IRCC about a month ago and got an individual application number to track my Permanent Card Application and was told I'm still under the processing times (generic reply). Tried to link the new application # to the GC key and found out was still under my agent who processed my outland spousal application. Uploaded a web form to remove the agent and link my application.

PR CARD Application added to GC Key: Nov 23, 2022, status was submitted and then changed to Pending/Registration.
PR CARD STATUS Approved: Nov 24, 2022, and the card has been mailed and can take up to six weeks.

DAMN!!! Should've removed the agent and linked my application long back!!!

PR Card Received: Nov 29, 2022.
