Hi,

My Pr card expired on Dec 14th/2016 and i applied for a renewal. Here is my timeline:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on December 21, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 12, 2017.
We started processing your application on January 12, 2017.

Since becoming a PR i have been outside of Canada for 4 months in total. Therefore, I meet the residence requirements.

On the CIC website, it states 48 days for processing time; they are currently working on applications received on January 8th.
According to that information and under normal circumstances i should have received the card by now . Am I correct?

For the past few days, i have been reading stories pertaining to secondary review on this forum, and given that i haven't heard anything from CIC after AOR; I am worried it might be my case.

Has anyone who have applied at the end of December 2016 received their cards yet? Or just who has a different timeline but applied around December or November? If yes, can you please share your timeline?

Also, Should I call CIC? Would they provide me with more information regarding my application?

Can all of you knowledgeable people please enlighten me?

Cheers

Call CIC for the status.

Thank you for responding.
I did call them earlier today and the agent i spoke with informed me that they were still working on my application.
She added that I should have it by March 20th, if not to give them a call.
