I am planning to visit alone and stay for 3 years. ...my family cannot come along because of some reason. ...they can come only after expiry of their pr card.....what step I can follow to bring them to Canada at later stage with expired pr

When their PR cards expire and they have not met the residency obligation, they can apply for PR travel documents which will be refused and they will lose their PR status. After they lose their PR status, you can apply to sponsor them. However, keep in mind that the age of dependent children is changing in August so you will only be able to sponsor children who are under the age of 19 when you apply.
