my problem is that i have never recieve my pr card. Me and my daughter arrive here last november 8 2008, my ex-wife told me that the pPR card was handed by mail in our apartment but we were not there the date was December 26 2008. and was return to the immigration office . due to lack of infromation i have neglected to follow up my own pr card together with my daugther. i have learned recently that my ex-wife applied for my daughters pr card and mine is way past expired already so right now im applying for my pr card .. what will happen to my status?
please help..

As long as you are in compliance with the PR residency obligation, you are fine.

Just apply for a card.

PR does not "expire" although a PR card does expire. As long as you are in compliance with the PR residency obligation you are fine. In fact, unless you plan on traveling, you don't even need a PR card.

thank you very much.... actually ived alreeady started to gather everything that is necesary to process my pr card.
