PR Card Isual after landing

Hello,

Thanks to everyone in this forum for their inputs.

1) Do we need to be in the country for Canada Immigration to issue a PR card?
Say, I land into canada and give my friends mailing address for my PR card and leave the country in a week. And he can mail me the card when he gets it.
Is there going to be any problems? Will they still issue the card?

2) When does the 5 year clock starts? On the day of landing?

3) Is it 2 years we have to stay in the country out of 5 years?
