PR card expiring, driving to BC from Washington? HELP!

Can I rent a car in Seattle, drive to Port Angeles and take the ferry, or should I drive across the continental land border, and the take a ferry to Victoria? Any references to this would be greatly appreciated, ASAP!

Your question isn't very clear. Will your PR card still be valid at the time you cross the border or will it have expired? Do you meet the PR residency obligation?
