PR card Delay - Under Verification Process- Qorax please provide feedback!

I landed Canada in the month of May 2013 and I have not got my PR card yet. My wife got her PR card last week and I called up Customer care to know that my file is under Verification process and they cannot tell me how long it will take to issue the PR card. They also told me that not all files under go the verification process.

Has anybody in this forum gone through such thing?

Qorax - Can you please let me know if there is anything to worry about this?

Thanks! But do you know why my file was sent to verification department? They told that this verification is not for all applications. I'm worried after landing process is completed, why there is a again verification on my file before PR card is issued.

Nothing to worry about. Me and my wife's applications also went through the verification procedure. We received our PR cards about 2 weeks after our children's cards.
It took 6 weeks for our children's cards to arrive. We landed in Calgary in the first week is April.

Do you know what kind of verification is this and why this is not for all applicatoins?

Nothing to worry about. Me and my wife's applications also went through the verification procedure. We received our PR cards about 2 weeks after our children's cards.
It took 6 weeks for our children's cards to arrive. We landed in Calgary in the first week is April.

Hello. We are in the same boat, I just phoned CIC to follow up out pr card, we landed on May 2013 and the guy told me that our pr card is under verification, so he didn't know how long it takes to send PR card to us. I'm kinda worried because I have to fly back in the Philippines on sept. thank you....

I do not know what form(s) of verification(s) are conducted by CIC. However, I was told by the agent that applications were randomly selected for further verification in order to test integrity of the system.

I have a different story, I received my kids and my cards only. When we called to follow up regarding my wife's card we have been told that the landing procedures for her is not completed properly and they don't have a landing record for her. They advised that they will contact the airport and if they would need anything they will contact us.

The problem that we are already out of Canada. Should I expect that they will ask her to come personally to the airport?

I recieved my whole family PR cards, except mine on this monday 16th of sept 2013 the 80th day of our landing.Upon inquiring today from CIC after waiting for three days i came to know that my file had been picked up for verification. The agent was helpful. He told me that 10% of files are randomly selected for verification and since the dept which deals with it is dealing with the files submitted to them on 14th of june, my PR can take over two months. I landed on 28th of june and according to him my file has reached to a relavant dept on 6th of september. My problem is that i was staying here because of PR cards. Now i have to go back. May i know from those who have already experienced the mode of delivery. Do they ask the randomly selected 10% to come in person or do they mail the PR cards on positive disposition. I hope i will get the reply of my query. Thanks in advance
