Hi,

I've been approved for PR and I'm currently awaiting my CoPR, I'm worried that with the one year anniversary of my medical approach (25th July), I may only have a couple of weeks to enter Canada from the UK.

Generally how long do you have to land in Canada, been told 4 months is the standard, is this true?

Thanks in advance....................

There's no standard on how long you can wait to land. You always have to land before your CoPR/immigrant visa expires. Otherwise you have to re-apply from scratch.

Your COPR expiry usually corresponds with your medical date anniversary. If you had your medical on July 25, your COPR likely expires at the same time. On the plus side, you can always fly over to complete the landing formalities and then return to the UK to finalize any outstanding things you need to do before making your permanent move.

Thanks, It may seem strange but I have a really bad fear of flying and plan on sailing to the US and coming to Canada.

I can get there by the 25th July via this method but need to book stuff quickly but I dont wanna book stuff if I can travel in august when prices are cheaper.
