Yes, some of us from the last week of January are remaining still. What the heck. I really really hope I see something, even if it is a BG NA soon. Looks like those of us from last week of January are the unlucky ones lol.

I have my marriage certificate plus i have my passport in my new name. do i still need to make an affidavit??

Yes. You have to provide Legal name change certificate (name change affidavit) done in front of a notary.

Marriage certi alone will not serve the purpose.

It's strange that in this day and age, IRCC doesn't have a mobile app / way to keep applicants updated.

We have to wait 30 days to get an update on our applications via GCMS and we are still missing mails / comm from them.

They took some time implementing the EE system. Wondering if I should bid for the right to develop this app when it comes up?? ;D

Yes please. IRCC's only way to keep applicants updated is myCIC account's table of status updates. Which itself moves rarely. Nothing is as detailed as GCMS which as you said, takes 30 days to be delivered.

PNP-O
Office - NDVO
Dec 3rd - AOR
BGC - After getting the PPR, today it got changed to "We are processing your Background check"
PPR - 5th May.

Seniors Can you help in my below queries.
1)Currently I am in Canada and my dependents are in India. Can I submit my passport here to Ottawa and my dependents can submit to Delhi
in India??? Is this fine, do I need to do anything additional here? Did any one came across this situation????
2)What is this COPR? when will get that??
3)After getting PPR, My BG got changed to "We are processing your Background check", is this normal???

Thanks to all who helped me, kept me motivated for this. I have received a big relief after 3.5 years. Patience is the key guys, wish good luck to those who are waiting for PPR...

One question guys:
I have a planned travel for my Onsite Role in Alberta in next two weeks under ICT WP Visa and I have a small query regarding this.

Is it possible to submit my passport at Visa office in Canada after my arrival at Alberta (probably 22nd/23rd May 2017) and then, can I do landing formalities at Ontario on or before the expiry of my PR Visa and will start work and live in Ontario as I am a PNP candidate nominated by the same province? Please suggest the best approach.
