PR Application

Hi there, I am a convention refugee in manitoba and i filed my application in May 2018. According to the Immigration Consultant, she has not received an application number. So i am not able to track the application or to even know whether I even applied. Is it possible for this to happen?

You probably won’t recieve a UCI number until they start processing given the timeline for PR from a refugee, it might be a few more months. Did your consultant provide you proof they applied?

I aready have a UCI number and No my Immigration Consultant hasn't givn me any proof that she applied. What kind of proof should i be asking for?

People usually get AOR after 6-9 months. The whole process takes 30 months

Wow! For real? The process of applying for permanent Residence? What’s the AOR?

Pr applications for anything other than spousal can take a few years.

Ok great. So but is it possible for me to get a travel document whilst my PR application is pending?

Praise God! So do I just apply for the travel document? Also who can be my Guarantor? My Immigration Consultant told me that because I made an in-land refugee application, I cannot travel out of the country with a refugee travel document. Is this true?

No you can apply for a RTD once you have been accepted as a protected person. Not all countries accept RTD and some require a visa.

Just make sure you don't visit your home country. Otherwise you are good to travel.
