PR application then new passport

Hello,

I'll submit my PR application in September this year ( 2013 ). My passport will expire June 2014, and I can apply for a new
passport 6 months before it expires. So at the time I submit my application in September, I will have to put my current
passport number on the forms, and when I get a new passport I will have to contact CIC and update the passport number?
Is that possible?

When you have a new passport and a file no. from CIC, you send them copies of your new passports bio data pages.

Alright. So I apply using my current passport. Wait for the file number from CIC and once I get
my new passport I mail them copies indicating the file number?
