PR Application Rejected

Hi all,

I'm in shock that this happened and I want to know what I need to do next. Reading through some of the previous posts, I know some people have been successful with a CSE. Is that the best course of action?

Also, they recommend I re-enter for the express-entry draw, is this necessary, and advisable?

Thanks,
Unsuccessful PR Applicant :(

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has reviewed your application for
permanent residence. We have determined that your application does not meet the requirements
of a complete application as described in sections 10 and 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Regulations. Your application is rejected for being incomplete.
Specifically, your application does not include the following elements:
- Police Certificate:
o The Police certificate from XXX was not provided. This document is required based on
address/background/travel history from July 2008 to November 2016. It appears you
resided six months or more in that country.
NOTE: If you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years,
then returned for four months that counts as spending six months there. Therefore, you
would need a Police certificate. In addition, you did not provide a letter of explanation
and proof of submission for this Police Certificate.

sorry to hear that. Did you provide them with a police certificate or not? That's one of the basic documents they ask after getting an ITA.

I did for the main country I was in. I did not for another country (which I visited several times and accumulated 6 months in.)

Did they ask you to provide the certificate before they rejected you? Seems a bit harsh to just reject you straight off, considering you paid $1040 to even submit the application.

Also, if it helps, my score was 474. So, maybe re-entering isn't such a bad idea?

No, they did not ask for it - they rejected within 10 hours of me submitting everything.

Unfortunately the onus is on you to prove your admissibility to Canada when it comes to providing necessary documents. This application is done. You need to create a new profile and this time make sure your application is complete. You can open a CSE but I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding that. They are very clear and strict about the rules after the ITA. If your points are 470 you will be fine with the new application.

Best of luck!

Clearly you made a mistake and that's why it was rejected so CSE doesn't make sense. Create new profile you have good chance at 474 to get ITA very quickly and next time make sure you provide all the documents properly.

Very sorry this happened to you however the instructions for police checks are very clear. You need a certificate from each country you have visited for 6 months or more.

Very sorry to hear that but good thing is it didn't happen at the last stage I mean not 6 months after submission.
Your score is high enough to get another ITA, hopefully you will be able to get PCC for the next time.
Good luck.

If you have the police certificate they need right now, you can try CSE with it, otherwise, just enter the pool again.

When did you get ITA and what date is your AOR?
It's surprising that you get rejection within 10 hours.

I would say.. you are lucky to get a rejection with in a day.. they did not drag it for 6 months and say ok your application is rejected.. I suggest wait for another ITA and get your PCC's done
