PR application in process/ WP expired

Hello All,

So, I forgot to apply for my WP extension and it expired yesterday. My PR application is already in process (CEC Inland - applied 17th of March 2017).

I know I should have been more careful about my WP expiry. As far as I know I am currently eligible to apply for Restoration of Status. Could someone please confirm If I can still work while applied for restoration of status.

would this effect my PR application in anyway?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

You can't work now until you restore your status.
Yes it can affect your PR application if you work without status.

Thanks for your response. I am not planning to work with expired status.

As I am out of status, Can this affect my current PR application in any way providing that I have already applied for restoration of status and not working?

Continue to work or study
Contrary to applicants to whom we recognize an implied status, persons awaiting restoration have lost their status and may not continue to work or attend school.

No, it won't be affected, your application will be assessed on the factors that made you eligible in the first place.
