May 16, 2016 - Submitted PR profile and Paid fees / AOR
June 2, 2016 - Medical Passed
August 2, 2016 - BG in progress
August 4, 2016 - PPR
August 7, 2016 - Submitted passport to Manila VO
August 9, 2016 - Forwarded passports from Manila VO to CEM (as advised by VFS)

Hi all,

I am new to this forum , can I please know what does one really mean by AOR?
Is that a letter CIC issues ones it recieves the EE PR application?

1) What is the timeline to receive this AOR after submitting application?
2) I am asking this because my BC PNP EE nomination expires soon (September 5, 2016) and I still have not applied for PR.
My worry is what if I apply for PR before my PNP expires (aiming to apply within this week) but do not receive an AOR until September 05, 2016. Would that mean my nomination is not valid anymore? Even though I have applied before its expiry.

AOR stands for "Acknowledgment of Receipt." It is an official document issued by the Canadian government that confirms an application for permanent residence status in Canada.

Normally, these days in EE, it is sent to an applicant within the day submission of application for PR, in some cases maybe it take 2-3 days. In my case, I sent my application on June 25 and got my AOR on June 27.(maybe because I sent it on weekend)

If you apply this week, you will surely get your AOR max of 3 days. I suggest u send it on weekdays.

Military Service Details requested on August 03, 2016 and provided on August 09, 2016
Review of medical results: Passed July 12, 2016
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: In Progress August 03, 2016
Final decision: Not started

Today I received an e-mail that my application has been updated, but when I logged into my account, nothing looks different, any Idea what this means? Also, when do you think I should expect to hear anything judging from my timeline? Anticipation is killing me Here ;D
