Hi,

This is the first time I’m posting a question in this forum.

The IAD approved my applications for renewal of PR card, after it expired. Card expired in 2014, IAD approved September 2017. However the CIC states that my card is still ‘in process’. Does anyone know how long it would take for the CIC to issue my card once the IAD grants an positive decision?
Having said that, my son’s PR card was ready by April 2018. For some reason mine is taking a longer time, strange, as that both were submitted together

I’ll write details in a synopsis format?

Got PR approved on investment program, in 2009, unfortunately we couldnt migrate across as both my parents went down with a stroke at the same time, same year. Subsequently passed away an year of each other 2011, 2012.
However, my eldesr son moved across in 2012 after completion on high school, both my second and third sons moved across in 2013 and 2014.
Having finished most of the legal work (parents passed away without a last will) my youngest son and I came over in 2015. Our lawyer helped us come over.
PR card had expired in 2014 although PR status was not affected. We were refused an extention at the CIC which was in 2016, however, after appealing the decision, we got a positive decision at the IAD hearing, that was in 2017. My son was granted his PR card in April, 2018 and im yet to get a notice that mine is being issued. When checked, always get the reply that it’s ‘in process’.
Completely confused as to what is happening?

Are you sure you were approved and not just your son?

Both of us were questioned at teh IAD hearing, and while it was verbally told us that it is a positive decision in our favour, a letter was sent by the CIC formally informing us of the said decision. That was towards the end of September 2017.
My son was informed mid March, 2018 that his PR card was ready for collection. For some unknown reason, mine seems to be getting held up
