PPR: send passport by Xpresspost or other courier?

Hi, did everyone who sent their passport/passport copy to CIC use Xpresspost? I generally prefer to use Fedex because I've had bad experiences with Canada Post but the PPR letter says to use Xpresspost. Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated

I have sent it by Xpresspost.

I used carrier pigeon - way cheaper

I followed all the CIC instructions to the letter for the last 5 months to ensure no chance of rejection, but decided to play about on the very last step just for the hell of it.
