Hi,
Me and my husband had applied for PR through express entry program. We received PPR mail in the email account on 23 sept but not in CIC account. This delayed our action as wechecked the mail today. Now we have only 1 week left to submit our passports out of the 30 day timeline. The main issue is that our passports have gone to NZ embassy for visitor visa application and we need them back urgently to send them to Canadian embassy. But the timeline is too short.please suggest any solution. Can we request for ppr deadline extension to CIC?

You have three options:
Option1: Write to CIC explaining your situation. But I am 99% sure that you will not get any response because it was a neglect on your part, plus they rarely reply in a week time.

Option2: If you are at a location where VFS is locally accessible and you are confident of getting NZ Visit visa by 19th, then you submit your passport by 20th or 23rd (since 21/22 is off and 23rd is not recommended as it will be the 31st day).

Option 3: If you feel that you will not get NZ Visa in time, then better withdraw your passport citing the same reason to NZ embassy and they will hold your visit visa for 2 weeks. With NDVO, you will be needing 10-14 days to get your COPR and stamping.

In any situation, give priority to Canada, since getting NZ Visit Visa is easy and can be done anyday. But Canada Immigration Visa is not something that can be risked.

Again, if you don’t have VFS nearby, better use aramex and send your passports as instructed.

Visit them in person and withdraw your passport. As per the rules, no embassy can hold your passport against your will.

Your worry should be asking the NZ authorities to keep your visit visa application alive until you get your passport back.

They rarely have replied in a week. Since they dnt have time, so it’s better to withdraw PP from embassy.

Actually you can goto Embassy directly to take your passport in cases of emergency.

Hi.. I checked. There is no vfs for NZ in India. It's TT services only. But they are not showing the tracking of passports
