PPR received are there any deadlines to land etc. etc after passport is returned ?

Got the PPR today and will be sending passport this week itself, there is a 30 day deadline to do that, is there a deadline after we receive the passport back to land ?
 
Yes - typically 1 year from the time you completed your medical.

Hi, I have the same question, when you say "from the time you completed your medical", in many cases where people submit their application and do the medical exam within a month and get the PPR in like 9 months, does that mean they have only 4 months to land ?. Thanks for your help
 
We received our COPR, this issue date was July 7, 2017 and it is valid until April 26, 2018.
The medical was done in July of 2016. I'm not sure what this timeline is based on, I was also assuming it would be a year, but not so.

Hmm.. that's interesting so basically there is no pattern to it but at least they give you minimum of 4 to 6 months to land. Maybe they go by PCC ? When was your PCC done when was that valid till ?

No there is also something officer can extend your medical validity if he want like extra year without redoing medical so the case of copr show that full extra year
 
Hello everyone,

I got decision made from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico on August 31,2017, they gave me 15 days deadline to issue the confirmation of permanent residency, they received my passport on September 6,2017. I don't know how much time it will take them to send back my passport.

On the also says that the COPR document will expire on October 15,2017( Please note that you must travel to Canada within the validity of your visa / Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. ) Does this means I have to travel to Canada before October 15,2017?

Quite confuse.

How long does it take for them to give your pssport back?

I have no idea, they haven't tell me when they will send it back, I am kind of worry is that is the day I am not ready to travel, I just came back from Canada:(

I heard it takes between a week and 4 weeks but also depends on the VO. Let us know when you get it:) best of luck

When did you get your PCC and medicals done ? I think it has something to do with that.
