Hey guys, I am wondering how this process works and this is what I assumed so far based on what I know:

1. PPR request gets sent via email to the email ass provided on the application form?
2. Passport gets sent and the Visa/CoPR issued with the passport or separatedly? With the passport coming back first then the visa second?
3. Passport gets sent back to address provided on the mailing letter? or to the mailing address provided on the application form?
4. The CoPR is only sent by mail? not email? and what dictates the mailing address?

Thanks.

I'm interested in the answer you receive as well...cause right now our mailing address is in Canada (so we wouldn't lose anything) but we are living overseas...

If you need a visa, it will be placed in the passport, so there is no way for it to arrive separate from your passport. The COPR and passport should be returned together.

The COPR is an official document, so you need the original. It must be sent by mail.

So the CoPR is sent together with the passport once they've requested a PPR? Assuming that is the case do you know if they send it back to the address on the envelope when I sent the passport? Because I am thinking of writing up a statement sent along with the passport requesting them to send it to the address provided instead of the mailing address in Canada, since i am living overseas.

I put in a separate sheet of paper my mailing address, telephone numbers and email address where they can send it back to me. I put it together with my passport in an envelop then send it to Canadian embasy in manila

We got the PPR by e-mail. When we went to pick up the passport and COPR, they were in the same envelope. I am not sure about mailing addresses because we had to submit the passport through the VAC.

1-3. Your partner is visa-exempt, so her passport will not be requested.

4. As said above, the COPR is an official document and cannot be emailed. It will be sent to the mailing address listed in the application.

visa will endorsed on passport and copr will attached on it..

better is submit your passport through VAC, they are authorized and reliable, you will received passport and copr from them.

What does VAC stand for?

1. The request is sent in a mail. You need to take a copy of this mail while you submit the passport.
2. Visa is stamped in the passport. CoPR is issued with the passport. You have an option to collect these both from the same office or pay for courier charges.

4. CoPR is given with the passport in a large envelope.

Specifically, I was interested in the address they mail the PP back to...because my husband's mailing address is a P.O. Box number which we have to provide in the application...but he also has a physical address for courier deliveries (but not mail).

So, I assume, if you submit your PP to the VO, you can give them a physical delivery address (if they are dealing with a courier to return it) or you can pick it up at the nearest VAC.
