Hi guys,

I'm just wondering about the following. My medicals were done beginning of this month for my CEC application. My question is, since my PGWP is expiring soon, I will be applying for a visitor visa to remain in Canada. But what happens if my PPR request comes before i send off my application. Assuming I get my COPR and passport back, and I goto the border to land, will I be ok landing? I know you have 90 days to restore your status after expiry of your current status, but can you land during those 90 days assuming your status has expired?

Would appreciate anyones help.
Thanks

Not sure about this, why don't you try calling the Call Centre and asking?? They would be better to help you answer I think

True, I had tried getting through to then but was on hold forever before bein disconnected.

But I got a hold of then today. Rep was pretty helpful, she explained that when I apply for restoration of status within 90 days of my Permit expiring, I'm still on implied status until a decision arrives about my stay as a visitor. I can't work though obviously.

If I have to land during that time, I have to take all documentation with me such as old WP, WP refusal, copies of current restoration of status application, fees/ courier receipts etc.
