Hi!
Thank you in advance:)
However, I'm not the one to get the ppr. I have just shared the news, people in India weren't receiving ppr since 7 months, an Indian applicant with country of residence india just got the PPR.
I see!! Sorry my bad. So did you happen to see what his/her visa office was? I'm desparatly looking for any sign of activity from Ottawa.

I have a doubt. Would be great if someone could shed light on this...
My GCMS notes say Ofiice: CPC-Ottawa.. so is my Visa Office Ottawa?
However, I'm based out of India. So should it be NDVO instead?

No that is not necessary. Visa office is assigned randomly

Regardless of your country of residence , Your file can be processed anywhere. CPC stands for Case processing centre where the following happens.

a. Medicals
b. the program analyst reviews the eligibility and makes a recommendation.
c. criminality
d. BGC/security starts

After this stage the file is transferred to LVO, here the following happen:

a. eligibility is finally confirmed.
b. additional checks may be performed, contacting employer, financial institution all on case by case basis
c. final security report is received and updated
d. PPR issued.

many thanks for this detailed explanation.
i had been issued a PPR in Dec 19 but we were expecting a baby and hence requested my file to be put on hold.
We wanted the baby to be born in India and then move together to Canada..
now I have added my new-born baby to the file and everything is complete (and COVID also happened).
so my file should be in LVO right?

So when in my note says everything passed and case approved (by Ottawa) it can actually change at LVO?

Hi All,

I am from India and I just received my PPR. My wife's Medicals expired 3 days back. Should I inform them about it or they must have auto-extended? Where can I check this? I had previously got the PPR request in March and the passports were returned after submission for remedical as then my own medicals were expiring. Meanwhile, everything closed down.

I do not want to be in the same boat where I send my passport and they get returned for remedicals once again.

Warm Regards,
Ajay Kalra

If everything is complete your file should be in LVO. However , It's not a rule of Thumb, You may get your PPr mail directly from other office as well.
