hi everyone,

I called IRCC last Thursday (March 12) and they said everything is passed in my application. I am expecting to receive PPR this week or so. However, when I went to myimmitracker.com and check recent PPR cases, seems like no new PPR has been sent out since March 14. My AOR is early August 2019 and I have been waiting for > 7 months.

Does any know if we should expect delays due to the coronavirus? Is anyone else in the same boat with me?
Did you get your PPR yet or still waiting?

My latest interactions with IRCC have been with regard to Medicals. I decided to follow up after reading a bit regarding COVID related instructions to IRCC here - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/permanent-residence.html

Given that my application had previously been approved (they too confirmed that), I told them that the panel physician in my area is available and that I could get a medical done if needed. They reverted within five days with a one liner to tell me that the validity of my Medical Results have been extended. I have two takeaways from this:
1. An immigration officer can extend validity of medicals results for up to 12 months - Hopefully they are expecting to complete this whole thing within that time frame
2. I was previously asked to get a re-medical (May 2019). On this occasion, however, they have given an extension - I can only assume that they didn't extend it the last time as I was being put in Security Screening with no real certainty on when that process would be completed, whilst this time it is post clearance of all those checks. Again, this is cautiously optimistic of me, but perhaps they consider it likely that the process will be completed soon (in this lifetime maybe??).

In the end we all (including the IRCC/ CIC) are at the mercy of an uncertain beast and will need to wait it out. The good news is that they are working on our applications. Now it's probably a question of when Canada will consider it safe to permit "Discretionary Travel" and that is subject to many variables. I think PPRs can be expected after they permit the same.

Till then, do stay home and stay safe; there is nothing to be gained by falling ill and including a fresh issue that may mark you out for special treatment (especially considering some suggestions that immunity in recovered COVID-19 patients is not a long term thing).

No. No communication from IRCC. Looking at the Gcms notes, it appears they were done with my application quite some time ago and there hasn't been any movement since. Or maybe I'm interpreting the notes wrong.
I think your interpretation is spot on. Have a look again at your GCMS notes and you will find a mention of "RFV Mission" somewhere. In my case, it is clearly mentioned there that a mail was initiated to the client (me) through Microsoft Word and that due to the same there was no log created on the GCMS system. Not only that, due to the use of "MS Word", there was no update on the My CIC account. In short, the agent likely used Mail Merge, perhaps mis-typed the email address, or there was a bug in the system and the final result was no mail received by the likes of us. Rather un-dramatic way to lose ten months of one's life, but here we are....

Hopefully they will likely send us lot PPR as and when the directives from IRCC permit. (Fingers and toes crossed)

My AOR is 2nd of September and I am exactly in the same situation. Last time I ordered GCMS notes I received them after 16 days only, and I have the exact same notes in regards to final decision and counterfoil...however I couldn't find the "RFV Mission" and I am not sure where to find it.

I have a minor correction to add to this. It was not "RFV Mission", rather in the heading "Notes" which comes right at the end of the file, by the time one has grown tired of the preceding 130 pages. There it is written "RFV letter sent via email in a batch. No correspondence was generated as letter was sent in a batch via MS Word Letter Template".

So, clearly one should thank Mr. Gates for his contribution to this predicament. Check your GCMS notes thoroughly. Especially the portion toward the end of the document.

Here's hoping our state of suspended animation comes to an end sooner than later

I still can't find it, maybe it is not in everyone's notes.

By the way, are there any news about when they will resume sending PPRs ?
