I'm just wondering, they sent me email in November to pay for the RPRF and just 3 weeks ago they asked for my husband's passport when I emailed them for a change of my address here in Canada (sponsor). We received your application on September 09, 2014 is the only update we have on ECas. Manila office. Thanks.

I would take it to mean that your application is in the final stages and they will be issuing you the visa. I wouldn't focus too much on ecas - it is notoriously slow to update for a lot of applicants. Congratulations!

I know it's exciting (or not), to check ECAS, but i can speak from personal experience that we knew about each and every incremental progress BEFORE we saw it on ECAS . . . Every time! (and we're processed out of Manila also)
Thank you, been checking ecas every now and then and I got disappointed everytime I see it is only application received until now that passport was requested or I would just believe others that CEM just requested passport just to sit in in their office and hold it for months and still not ready to return the passport with visa. It is so frustrating. Thanks!
Manila Embassy asked for the passport at the beginning of the process. Unfortunately, i doesn't means it gonna be done soon. My wife sent her passport last October, and no news since then

You're right pago974, I just now remember seeing somewhere on the forum that the Manilla office tends to request the passport before they process the application. Not sure if that's 100% accurate. Maybe the senior members can confirm?
