Hey guys i find i may have put myself in a potentially detrimental situation.

For a couple of months back in 2013 i did a shift a week at a bar my friend worked to help out. They usually just paid me in cash. When it came to filling out my application i completely forgot and didn't mention i worked there for a very short time.

Anyway today when i spoke to the CRA about another issue I'm having (i forgot to submit my NOA with my initial application documents) they informed me that i owed tax from that job. I have now paid that and the guy from the CRA said there was no issue from their end, but will CIC have issue with it? Do i need to inform them about it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Folks, lately i have started following this forum and its pretty impressive to see how everyone is helping each other out here.
I shipped my application on December 8th 2014 NOC 0621 (assistant Manager Retail).
I have following concerns regarding my application :

1) My employment reference letter states 5th December 2014 as the issue date but i actually completed my 1 year on 8th December 2014. That being said, I still work with the same company and i shipped my documents on December 8th.

2) I included all my pay stubs other than the last pay stub that accounted for my 1 year experience. My company issued the pay stub after I shipped my documents. But my Employment reference letter states my Annual salary.

3) Most important, I took 20 Days vacation during my work tenure. I hope that won't create any problem because according to CIC 1 year of work experience includes medical and vacation leaves. Also, my employment reference letter clearly states that I worked 40 hrs per week i.e. I worked 1960 hours and the minimum requirement is 1560 hrs.

Do you guys think I can be picked for any of these reasons.
The company that i work for is a renowned Canadian clothing company.

Please Advice

As per I know if per week you worked more than 30 Hr . that is fine , So it will not be acceptable if any if for few weeks you worked less than 30 Hr and other weeks you worked more than 45 Hr and you will average it
Paid leaves if you took that will be fine

Ummm so yeah to back to my initial question....

Will CIC have any issue that i didn't mention a small employment stint other than my main/qualifying job?

That would depend:

1) Did you have a work permit? Was it an open work permit?
2) If you were paid in cash, did you declare the earnings with the CRA and pay tax?
3) Did you mention it at all? Even on the background declaration form?

So is there any way i can resolve this issue..
I thought what maters is when cic received the application.
I still work with the same company though.
This is definitely panicking me.

i was on working holiday visa so i was allowed to work another job, i have cleared it all with CRA. I didn't mention it in my background declaration form. should i resubmit it?

Probably, you should submit a corrected background document with a letter of explanation (it's not a crime to forget.)
