Hi all, I don't have my PR card as I wasn't in Canada long enough to receive it. In fact the CBSA officer wouldn't even accept a friends address to send it to.

Now I've left Canada does anyone know if I can complete the form for them to send it to my friends house and then my friend courier it to me?

Did you use address notification service to give adress to cic before 180 days

Why do you ask?

Did you mention your friend address over there .Did he/she received it. Is it your first landing ?.When did you land?. Is it your first PR or renewal?

Yes, check the docs they gave you while landing. There are instructions to go online and update address where you want the PR card sent. You need to do this within 180 days. I strongly suggest you do this, cuz I didn't and had to fill a new PR card form and pay $50 and I will have to wait for months to get my PR card.

Learn from my mistake, do yourself a favor and update that address according to instructions..

Thanks, my question was more around if it's allowed for my friend to courier the PR card to me. But it's ok I'll change my address with CIC before I head back and will apply for my PRTD instead

I don't see how any of these questions have any relevance to my original question. I've already Nsdwres most of these points in my original post. Do you need to find information for yourself?

Its because of your statement in red that I was asking whether you faced some problem with CBSA regarding giving your friends address. If you want specific solution ask specific question in the forum, I read in some other thread that PR card can be couriered out. but I never did it. You can also ask your friend to give it in hand to some one who may be visiting your country or your place. Some people do this way also.

Your post made us to ask lot of questions instead of that if you asked can my friend courier or post my pr card out of canada you might have got the answer by this time or if you check in forum posting pr card outside you might have got the results.

As per my knowledge (I'm not master ) just trying to answer like most of my friends here, you or your representative received PRcard it would be between you to get your PR card to you its not cic who cares for it

Guys, I landed in Canada on 8th June and fill all required docs and fly out from Canada on 11th july, my Son PR card was delivered at my Canadian address where mine, my wife and daughter they send letter to send pics as per specs, I sent new pics which were delivered to case processing officer on 7th September since then I am waiting , can anyone tell me how much more time should I expect for PR card delivery?

Sorry mate, I felt I was very clear with my question and you were the only one who asked lots of questions. And my original post did ask that, think you may not have read it properly.

Anyway, I've sorted an alternative now.

HI,

My wallet was stolen and it had my PR Card in it.

Applied for a Replacement - 12th September 2016
AOR - 28th September 2016
In Processing - 29th September 2016

I had also attached copy of police report, COPR and my stolen PR Card.

I am travelling to India in January and my tickets were booked way before the card got stolen.

Will I be able to get it before that (cause I 've heard that there is no processing of applications in December) or should I contact CIC regarding this to process my application faster?

And also I read in someone comments that Replacement of stolen or lost PR cards is little faster than renewal. IS it true?

Thanks!

Processing time is around 57 days approx. CIC is working on applications since August 10th 2016. You should expect the PR card between next 1-2 months approx.

For new PR card, the processing time is 41 days. As you have been asked for the photos, the processing time may vary. However you should expect your PR card to be delivered by end of month approximately.
