Ok my story goes thus,

I got an admission into a 8 months program in Canada but I was given 2 years study permit. I just finished my program and I will like to know how many years postgraduate work permit will I be given if I apply now; is it 8 months(the duration of my course) or 2 years(the duration of my study permit)

2) if I decide to go to another school to use up my remaining 1.2 years work permit, can you combine two schools when applying for a postgraduate work permit? Or postgraduate work permit only counts for one school

3) I will like to settle in Canada and I am aware 2 years study = 3 years postgrad work permit = permanent residence. What can I do as my case is very peculiar and I am based in Alberta.

Please note, that I have off campus & coop work permit that expires the same date as my 2 years study permit.

2) If you apply for post graduate working permit, you will only have 8 months. You cannot combine 2 schools as the PGWP will be delivrered according to one degree only from one school only, not 2.

3) you know the math 2 years of study= 3 years of work...So why are you thinking too much my friend? use the 1.2 years remaining to you and go back to a college and do a 2 years degree.

BTW in your actual case you wont be eligible at this time to apply for CEC if you are looking for PR.

Hmm so I should waste money on another degree because masters degree is hard to get into.

Anyways, thank you very much for your advise. Do you know any threads that explains everything about PGWP?

You can apply for the PGWP, which will be for 8 months. As you begin working(skilled jobs), ask your employer if they would be willing to apply for a LMO for you. If the LMO is approved, you will be able to extend your work permit.

Ok, So I have these admissions:

1) Bachelor of management as a second degree(major in general management & minor in supply chain management) at University of Lethbridge, Calgary Campus - 2years

2) Graduate Certificate in Global business management at Humber college & Centennial College Toronto - 2yrs

3) Graduate Certificate in International business management at Centennial College Toronto - 1yr

4) Graduate Certificate in Project management at Humber college & Centennial College Toronto - 8months or 1yr

Are all these degrees not a waste of money. I already have a bachelor degree from my country and I have applied for masters here in Canada with no acceptance. What do you advise and which school is better. Can I get into a masters degree after my grad cert?

I don't know the answers to your other questions.. But, 3 years postgrad work permit does not automatically = permanent residence.

You have to find jobs that are in NOC 0, A or B group, and be full time in it for at least 1 year.. You can find out more on the CIC website.
