I just gave my test today! I got 20/20. But the lady at the counter said, we will let you know of the next step with the next 3-4 months.

I was confused by this because BEFORE the test began the administrator told everyone that if you pass you will contacted for your oath ceremony with 1-3 months. This makes me think they are intending to send me an RQ?? :o :o

Can someone shed their thoughts/experience on my situation? :(

Or is there a chance I'll get the oath letter for one of the upcoming cermonies in Ottawa (July 31st / August 11)

Thanks!!

(Decided to make my own thread on this even though I posted in one of the other sub threads)

Hi, The same thing happened with me.
The lady told me that it will take 2-6 months but the guy who conducted the test that it will take 1-3 months for the next step.
So I am as confused as u are.

maybe its something as simple as things slowing down during the summer with a lot of people at CIC being off on vacation ?

I did try to clarify this situation. And she said "Oh it's all relative...since we don't have a full time judge!"

Dunno if she was just trying to dodge.

For Ottawa CIC, a timeline of 2 to 6 months between the test and the oath is the norm. Mine was just less than two months while my friend waited for 4.5 months. As the officer said, it depends on the availability of a CJ to approve the applications. We do not have a permanent CJ since last Jan.

My friend who had a test/interview last month was told to come in 2 days for Oath.

Does any one knows what is the normal time between test and oath in Niagara Falls ..I did my test in last June 18

Hi
I had my test done Niagara Falls June 16 no word since
Do you guys have any update

Aymu, I am in the same line like you .. :( still nothing so far ...I hope it will be for both of us on next Sep. 05, 2014. Starting from Aug. 21 I will check my e-case twice a day ...who knows ..

I called CIC before one week and that agents told me that no update on my file and it seems every thing clear and fine ..nothing to do except to wait...

You know ..always I am saying that the positive thing until now even though the waiting is killing me that no RQ so far after 2 month ...which looks great for me ..but the thing concerning me that some cases I can see in the forum they are crossing 6 months of waiting with no news ..so always praying it won't take that much of time for all of us ...

Hopefully will be same time
I sent my wife's RQ and called CIC they said up to 24 months max :o but can be less
Interview agent said 2-4 months from June so will just wait and see
Good luck

hello are a pretest RQ?.. also did u hear anything back?
july test taker here!
how long is the wait approx at ottawa local office
