Better to carry in form of traveler cheque and some in form of cash....you can carry any amount just that you need to declare to the immigration officers.

I get to know in some pre-arrival sessions that we have to declare if we are carrying any amount of money more than CDN $10,000.

Means by forex card ... travel cheque... how... or cash..

19000 dollars... for 3 members...

Forex Demand Draft and Cash in converted dollars is sufficient.
Try to use Forex card. Sometimes they charge much commission in other countries

Same as ashu y.... submitted on 8 March and today got visa number ...hopefully tomorrow I 'll get it from vfs chd..

any update about your passport tracking?

The message shown in VFS tracking about courier dispatched. But I couldn't able to track in Blue Dart. Because there Tracking Number and Reference Number is not working there.

Anshu...On o different note what kind of Background verification do they do in 1/2 weeks. They check the addresses we have stayed etc..I have been changing a lot of addresses though..feeling a little bit concerened

They do not conduct BG check for each applicant. Only doubtful cases. They don't check addresses as well . They need only PCC.

This is true but should not be any issue to declare until you can explain the source of money. Whatever you carry for the 1st time is non-taxable, later everything is taxable. We anyhow need to carry minimum amount required based on our family size and even that would be over CAD 10000 in most cases.

Can you tell me on which place of GCkey you can see VISA number ?, Also, We have submitted our passport on 14th March at Delhi office.

Ashu bhai, any reason to worry after PPR on visa stamping. Its 11 days already since passport submissions
