Hi Guys,

I have a question that I couldn't find a answer for.... :o

I worked for the same company for 10 years. My first role was a Analyst with NOC X. After a few years I was promoted to Manager with NOC Y.

Post-ITA, do I need to create two different periods for the same company and have two different letters from the same company ?

Or can I have only one long period with one of the NOCs and attach only one letter Reference Letter mentioning both periods and both titles but only add Latest Salary and Latest Main Responsibilities ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Gus

Yes, you will create two entries, with two different NOCs and job responsibilities.
Don't be confused, as you served in two different NOCs, different roles, so you will need two letters. Manager position is your current job and Analyst is past with work experience.

Good luck

Hum.... I see. Thanks for you answer. I thought that I could specify only one period and have both periods described on my letter.

I'm not sure if the company will understand the need for two different letters. I would like to avoid it. What made me think twice was the two different NOCs.... I thought that perhaps I could use just the latest one.

You can have a single letter and upload the same letter in both placeholders but it must make distinction of the different duties and responsibilities performed for each position you held in that company.

I believe, you have listed all of them in work history. this is needed, if both of them is specified in work history.. else, a single reference letter for NOC B (managerial) is enough.. is that correct?

Senior Members - please correct if the understanding is not right.

I am not sure for how long you have served in the new role (Manager). In case you have completed 6 years in your current role, and you are not claiming points for the Analyst role (which is obvious), you can request only the letter of your current role as a Manager and you will be good to go.

can you clarify the importance of 6 years in this statement, please?

** you have completed 6 years in your current role

For FSW 6 years of foreign work experience give the maximum points under the six selection factors for FSW eligibility (67/100)

Thanks DelPiero. I read it from CEC perspective.

My case is somewhat similar. I worked for the same company for 10 years and held different positions/roles. I have entered one row per role I held, in the work history section (a total of 6 entries).

My employer refused to give me the reference letter and so I'm planning to prepare a letter and get it signed by my colleague. I have put all these 6 entries in table and clearly listed the responsibilities of each. Will get it signed and notarized (should the notarization be on stamp paper or a printed white paper should suffice?)

Have not reached that point yet but looks like we need to upload reference letter for each of the entries in work history and so, I can simply upload the same notarized letter 6 times?

Hi Senior,

Please help me
I have a total experience of 5 years with same employer. however, it includes different designations over the time period of 5 years. I started as an Engineer and then got promoted to Asst. manager after 4 years, both the designation had the same responsibilities, but under NOC codes, I have selected the NOC code as per the managerial role as the job responsibilities are the same and I have a job letter from the employer stating my job title as ASSt. manager and all resp. Is it necessary that the designation has to be an exact match with the NOC code or it is about having the similar job respons.?
