My PR is under process (applied on Nov 18) and my PGWP will expire on July 5, 2021. When should I apply for the extension? CIC website mentions 4 months in advance...
How long does it takes for the extension approval? Is there any cost associated with it?

Where did you read that a PGWP can be extended, you have a link given PGWPs are not extendabel unless issued short due to passport expiry or issued short in error.

You can apply now if you are waiting on your PR decision. So you had an ITA.
