It's been 11 weeks (June 14th) since I sent all the documents through a Visa Application Centre, and no response. I'm getting worried worse every day that passes by and I'm afraid I might lose my admission due to this delay. Also, there is going to be an Islamic Holiday which would last a week, which could hurt my chances of getting the study permit even more. I have to be at the University before September 19th, however, I don't know what to do. I sent e-mails to the embassy, tried extended my study permit deadline and tried calling the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and there is no luck. I don't know what to do, is there any possible way to fix this?

My dear friend,
I am in the same boat as you're. I have applied on June 2nd to the same embassy (my application was submitted online though). The things which worry you are worrisome to me as well given the upcoming holidays as you stated. Can you tell if you were asked for medical at all? If so, when was that and when did you pass it? It says it could take 4 weeks after the medical results are out.
Regards

No, since I live in the United Arab Emirates, and haven't travelled in the last 6 months, it wasn't required.

Since you applied paper based, why don't you contact VFS Abu Dhabi? I think they might have an accurate informatio about the status of your application?

No, they really don't, I tried contacting them, nothing really came up. I linked my account online a couple of days ago, and I realized after 11 weeks they never once reviewed my application :(

How do you know they never once reviewed your application? They must have definitely done something about it.

Get in touch with VFS Abu Dhabi or Dubai in which you have submitted your application, Even visit them if you can. Explain them the delays and ask them to get in touch with the embassy. They did it for me and the very next day VFS Abu Dhabi emailed me and requested for my passport.

Have you registered for your courses or are you going to do that after you get the visa?

What if it's an online application?

Then you're screwed like me. No way of checking up with them other than case specific enquiry which is hardly ever replied....

No i think you can still go to the embassy in AD (not the VFS)

guys, the embassy guards are not even letting us send anything (a letter or a form) inside, let alone talk to a VO :'(

Yea same happened with my cuisson... they say send a case specific enquiry. Cruel
