About 2wks
Have no idea what that means. Did you have to do biometrics? I phoned immigration today and was able to get some info on our file. I was told the file is in the background check stage and that biometrics may be required. I was told biometrics is only done at visa offices , i dont know how true this is. Does it state in your notes anything about biometrics?

Ok. No I don't have to do biometrics. Applications filed before dec 31st 2018 are exempt..and yes I do believe they are only done at visa offices. What month and year applicant are you ?
Okay. So then we dont have to do it which is what i was told initially. Application filed June 14,2018. These people at IRCC dont know what their talking about smh lol

They are really slow these days! It used to be 7-10 days and it'll be back in your hands. But I am sure that you will get it soon!

POS VO seems to be really slowing down. Could be the july/aug vacation visas?
That country has the most vacations. I almost want to believe they are deliberate at the pace that they are going. Its been 13 months for me and I am just about going nuts just waiting. By the time they are ready there will be many broken relationships from family including spouses!

when I call IRCC they always tell me that they cannot tell me anything on my file because the application was transferred to Mexico. They can only discuss inland not outland applications. So you are lucky if they told you anything at all about your application.

Yes your right. They dont give out information for outland. I called 4x and spoke to 4 different people. One girl gave me information in regards to background check and biometrics. When I phoned and spoke to another agent she informed me that the other agent must have been new and was not supposed to release any information to me in regards to outland application because its at a visa office outside of Canada. It depends on who you speak with you have to call multiple times to speak with different agents

Thank you. I was pretty diplomatic but in no uncertain terms gave them my suggestions. Trinidad by far is still the slowest so my grievances was really geared towards Trinidad. I do hope that Mexico transfer your file to Trinidad soon and the process won't be too drawn out for you as its been for many of us.
