Hey guys. I'm driving. So I might spell wrong. They did not keep his passport. Which I thought was weird. But the lawyer said it was fine. And I know we still need to apply for the arc. So I'm hoping it has info on that. If they say no. I'll die. I'm trying to attach a picture I took of what the page looks like but there's not attachment thing on this forum that I could see. So I'll copy and paste it later tonight

Also, I know you said in an older post that hubby has a child already in Canada and since he needs an ARC, I assume he spent some time here... Has he been through the visa process before or anything?

Anyway, share what info you feel comfortable sharing when you're home safe and sound.

POS (and e-cas in general) never tells you what the decision was on the website... so it's not just you. Now you have to wait for the email/letter sent to you or your lawyer. Not fun, waiting.

oh some excitemnt in the forum that is good, i just came back from watching some carnival with my kids, and its good to see we are alive in the forum even if pos is dead but it seem gigi got some news and gigi am sure its something positive so keep thinking positive thoughts.

i can see some of us are loosing it talking about running behind a moving plane hahah that is so funny, keep the spirit up and laugh about this situation, before we all get crazy.

at the end of the week will be a month after my medical has expired and i think it will be two months since they have my ARC so am keeping my fingers crossed on some good news.

i hope @maddants come over to share some of the good news to us, we need some of that.

My brother did medical and found out he has syphilis will he be denied his doctor told hime he has to take treatment

Syphilis, presuming he's not extremely ill (neurosyphilis affecting the brain causing major issues) is easily treated with simple antibiotics. He should get treated and re-medical if he thinks it will be an issue causing him to be denied. Syphilis is very easy to cure assuming it's caught early and hasn't caused any noticeable symptoms (neurological).

Oh.. and he should stop having sex with anyone he's currently or recently had sex with because they could have it too. All his sexual partners need to be treated. If he gets treated, has sex with someone who wasn't treated, he will just get it again and it will show up on his medicals. Both partners need to be treated at same time.

Ahh when your bored and stuck in traffic. A bit of texting isn't too bad ahahah.
My husbands daughter is in Canada, she was born in in St vincent. I believe her mom is a refugee claimant. He previously applied for refugee and was denied and so was Praa and Canada sent him home. So thats what makes me scared about their decision. If they say no they don think its legit, i literally dont know what i would do. Im trying to stay positive I really am. I just want the ARC in and that will ease my mind a bit.
No waiting isnt fun, the mail takes foreverrrrrrr. Do you think there is another way to find out the answer without waiting for the letter. Like calling or emailing? or is that being too annoying and i should just be patient and wait?

This is what it looked like online:
We received xxxxxxx application for permanent residence on November 2, 2012.

We started processing xxxxx application on July 12, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

xxxxx interview is May 16, 2013.

A decision has been made on xxxxxxx application. The office will contact xxxxxx concerning this decision.

hi @gigi i see your concern here, but how is it that the daughter and mother is still in canada as refugee, did they file seperatly, are they going to be deported, just want to know hopefully that might have an imapct of their decision.

what about yourll relationship did yourll give ample proof and how long have yurll been together/ am sure you have nothing to worry about, PROA AND REFUGEE CLAIMANTS are more less guaranteed an interview but at the interview you will be determined the decision made so worry more aobut the interview than about the refugee or the PROA.

there isnt any other way to get an answer for them, only thing is if u ask for YOUR NOTES but that will take 30 days to come to u i think and most likely u will get a letter before that. so you might just have to wait patiently, from your rep.

i hope some of the other guys could shared some more light on this subject.

No, no other way to get it. You have to wait for whatever form of communication they are sending. It's crazy really. So even if they send you a letter, and have ON FILE WHAT THEY WROTE IN THE LETTER and then you email them and ask them about the letter - they won't tell you what's in it. They make you wait til it arrives... and if it takes over a certain number of weeks, they'll remail it. So annoying. But it is what it is. They only send communication in one form (email or letter) not usually both and once they've sent it, don't bother trying to get info out of them.. they'll just tell you to wait (as so many have tried and I've never heard of anyone getting information out of them.. just had to wait).

Unfortunately, you'll have to wait. Maybe they'll send you an email and they've just been slow getting caught up in drafting them or something lol. If it's mail, hopefully it'll get there soon!

Sorry you have to wait and stress. I can imagine it's hard.

@millslu/gigi I was kind of wondering the same thing. How come his child and child's mother didn't get deported if they all came together and did the refugee thing... it's strange they'd let 2 stay and make 1 go.
