why did they ask for new meds n new police report do u mean his app was in POS so Long. did u read earlier from danawe that the IO was on holidays and they just return. i remember when i was removed in December i tried to contact my imm officer but he went on holidays and he was returning on 21st January so i wonder if its the same with POS.

Yes, they were expired (older than a year), whether they were at POS that entire year or not, I do not know for sure, but it's quite possible.

As for the IO's being on holidays, I think it's possible. This was discussed in another thread today. Right before Christmas (Nov & Dec), there were a lot of applicants having their applications go quite fast and get finalized, etc. This was likely due to an end-of-the-year push to get applications out of the way before the new year rolled in (some will say they have a set number of applications per year that they should be able to do and maybe they were behind in numbers, so wanted to push a bunch through before the end of December. I don't know if that's true, but it would make sense). During this time, it was likely that a lot of officers worked overtime or even on weekends (which they sometimes do, during very busy seasons). So once the holiday vacations and the new year rolled around, a lot of officers probably went on vacation (or even extended vacation) to make up for all the extra time they put in at the end of 2012.

This is all speculation, of course, but this is the time of year when people tend to take long vacations... so I would not be surprised if POS is shorter staffed than usual. All of those people will hopefully be back this coming week.

yes that makes sense hence leaving prolong delays in our app. do you know how it was last year around the same time when did things start rolling again. am thinking since they got rid of many apps last year, ours should be the first on the list but when is the first is it in feb, march, april???

Yeah, it's hard to say when they will get around to ours, but I hope you're right that we should be near the front of the line. It concerns me though about the poor people that applied in FEBRUARY 2012 and have not heard anything yet. It must be frustrating to them. But there can be various reasons for this and no one really knows who is next. Let's hope it's us and let's hope we are near the front of this line so that when all the IOs come back from vacation this month, that we will hear soon. And let's hope these people who have been waiting an extra long time hear some news too!

Oh - and no, I don't know what it was like for Christmas 2011 and if the same sort of thing happened for January 2012 as I only applied in late 2012 and had no idea this forum existed in late 2011.

Some of the seniors might have something to say about it if they sign in later on, but I certainly can't tell. You might be able to see some patterns if you look at the spreadsheet and see if there were a lot of apps finalized in the end of the year and very few in the first of the next year... but I'm not sure myself.

hey @ bajan dont really understand but why dont u give us an idea of your whole process of your application from the day you sent it to POS.

i send in my application april 2011 when for interview dec 7 2011 my application start proceesing jan 30th in may 2012 i got letter i have to pay rprf fee in 30days then the next week i got letter to redo my medical redo police certificate an copies all my passport pages in 60 day

Follow the directions and send a prepaid envelope for them to return your documents from the office. All of this should be in your letter.

When did you receive this letter/email saying that your process is about to be finalized (the one you posted above)?jan 24 2013
Did you have any complications or delays in your case? (kids, previous marriages, previous deportations, missing information, etc)i had case in canada there wanted me to get prove how the case finish court trans script
This info will help us understand how fast things are processing and we can add it to our spreadsheet for future reference.
