Police complaint - need help

Hello,
I just wanted to verify something with all of you.

The front and rare number plates from my car were stolen from my basement parking and as a follow up to that I had to lodge a police complaint.

My PR is in progress (I filed my application in July), will this police contact affect my PR process in anyway?

Please advice.

agreed! this will not have an impact on your app... and you did the right thing by reporting it. this way if some crime is committed with those plates, they cant just point the finger at you.

the only time police matters would play a role is if YOU committed some offense, were charged and convicted.

You will be fine. But if you are like me, and worried, request the RCMP check and it will be sent to you. That way, you will see you have nothing to worry about
