Police Clearance Certificate

Hello ,

I have an Indian Passport and currently on a visitor visa .My boyfriend and I are getting married next month. Our lawyer told us to get the
police clearance certificate for my PR processing .Can I get that done from the Indian Consulate here in Toronto ? Please assist .Thanks a lot .

You need to be a 'resident' of Canada in order to apply for PCC thru the Indian Consulate. Since you are on visit visa, I doubt you'd qualify for that. However, there is no harm in trying. Simply call them up and check if they can issue the PCC to you.

Try calling VFSGlobal in that case. Until recently, they used to accept appliations for PCC (but we now have to go to the consulate). But atleast, they could give you some answers.
